Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl - Jesse Andrews This was a vastly amusing and thoughtful novel, emphasis on the amusing, for the first two hundred pages. However, like many immature teenage boys, Greg S. Gaines isn't very good at telling when a joke is overplayed, overdone or just not necessary. The 'fun' and joke schtick wore a bit thin after 200 pages and I wanted some growth, maturity or focus - not more about alien barf or Gross-Out Mode. It in the end, Greg's sense of humor is a bit too much of a good thing but this is a fun book and one that is well worth reading. Full review to follow.
